1. What types of projects can be involved in the Scheme?
- Conducting research / Preparing teaching materials
Coordinating community events
Assisting with academic events
Coordinating focus groups / working Teams
Assisting with educational projects
2. What kind of reports or assignments does the mentee need to complete?
The assignments submitted via E-portfolio (using SWAY) can be in Cantonese or English, including photo sharing of the project. Assignments included:
Goal Setting and Action Plan
Interim Learning Review
Reflection on Learning Journey
Conclusion via SWAY
Online Questionnaire via Qualtrics
3. How many working hours should be suggested in the Scheme?
The recommended total number of apprentice hours is around 100 hours, with no more than 5 hours per week.
The mentors should estimate the working hours approximately, as a reference for SAO colleagues.
4. What is the Learning Award?
Upon successful completion of the above-mentioned assessment tasks and receiving positive feedback from the mentor, every participating mentee will be eligible to receive:
- a merit-based Learning Award, comprising a one-off honorarium of approximately HK$3,500
- ELAT hours (Personal Effectiveness under Category B)
